# Cricket: England fast bowler Mark Wood has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 36, after a series of injuries. Wood last played for England in the first Ashes Test against Australia in Perth in November, when he suffered another knee problem. He took 119 wickets in 38 Tests after making his international debut in 2015. Wood was part of England’s 2019 50-over World Cup-winning team and their 2022 T20 World Cup triumph.
