Cricket: Australia wins the third ODI against the Proteas and avoids a series whitewash

# Cricket: Australia avoided a series whitewash by beating South Africa by a record 276 runs in the third and final ODI in Mackay, Queensland. Travis Head, Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh all scored centuries as the hosts posted 431 for two in their allotted 50-overs. In reply, Cooper Connolly claimed his maiden five-wicket haul as the Proteas were dismissed for 155. This was Australia’s biggest win by runs at home in ODIs, and their second-biggest overall in the format. South Africa won the series 2-1.
