Cosatu says the positive drop in the unemployment rate must be maintained [SOUND]

# The Congress of South African Trade Unions has welcomed the positive drop in the country’s unemployment rate. The latest Quarterly Labour Force Survey released by Statistics South Africa shows that the unemployment rate has eased to 31.9-percent from 33.2-percent in the second quarter. The expanded unemployment rate, which includes discouraged job seekers, stands at 42.9-percent. Cosatu’s spokesperson, Matthew Parks, says unemployment is the single greatest threat to the country, and tackling it must be the collective focus:
