# Cosatu says the engagements of the National Union of Mineworkers’ national congress will continue to resist unsafe working conditions in the mining sector. The union is hosting its 18th National Elective Congress in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni from today until Thursday. Cosatu’s spokesperson, Zanele Sabela says last year the mining sector alone shed more than 13-thousand jobs:
