Correctional Services launches school and bakery in Standerton prison

# The Department of Correctional Services has opened Zuzicebo Senior Secondary School and a bakery at Standerton Correctional Centre in Mpumalanga today. The school, registered in 2024, currently educates 41 learners in Grades 8 and 9, with plans to expand to Grade 10 by 2026. National Correctional Services Commissioner Makgothi Thobakgale says the initiative promotes offender rehabilitation. He added the new bakery, run by 30 prisoners, will produce two-thousand-880 loaves daily for Bethal and Witbank facilities.
