COPE calls on government to urgently fix and improve public transport [SOUND]

# The Congress of the People says it strongly condemns the lawlessness shown by rogue elements within the taxi industry. This includes the recent killing of an e-hailing driver at the Maponya Mall in Soweto, and reports of violence, threats and harassment of private drivers and passengers. COPE’s acting deputy general secretary, Arthur Ketile, says these criminal acts are an attack on the freedoms and rights and safety of citizens, who deserve safe and reliable transport:
