# The Conference of the Left has called for sweeping economic reforms, including the nationalisation of the South African Reserve Bank and a fundamental review of its mandate, ownership, and governance. Over 300 delegates from political parties, civil society organisations, and youth and women formations attended the conference in Boksburg on the East Rand of Gauteng over the weekend. South African Communist Party general secretary, Solly Mapaila, says they strongly condemned outsourcing and labour brokering, which are instruments of capitalist class power:
