# City Power has called on Johannesburg’s councillors and public office bearers to lead by example by paying their municipal and electricity accounts on time. Fifteen councillor accounts were in arrears by about 660-thousand-rand in April. The utility’s spokesperson, Isaac Mangena, says prompt payment by public representatives strengthens revenue collection efforts and builds public trust. He urges councillors to settle outstanding balances, comply with municipal regulations and improve revenue collection:
