# City Power says it has restored 45-percent of the electricity supply affected by a fire at its Central Substation in Johannesburg. According to the utility, the restoration was completed earlier than the expected seven-day period. Power has been restored to the Carlton Centre and Standard Bank, while Selby is being supplied through an alternative route. City Power’s Isaac Mangena says there is no confirmed timeframe yet for full restoration:
