# The City of Johannesburg is urging municipal account holders to update their contact details immediately to avoid disconnection of electricity and water services due to missed payments. Finance director Kgamanyane Maphologela says many customers have outdated or incorrect information, making it difficult for the City to send statements and service updates. Residents are encouraged to update their details at the Group Finance Department promptly. He emphasised that non-receipt of an invoice does not exempt customers from payment.
