# The City of Johannesburg is strengthening the township economy with the launch of the Alexandra Automotive Hub. The facility will help formalise township businesses, create jobs and connect local entrepreneurs with opportunities in the automotive industry. The metro’s spokesperson, Ntathis Modingoane, says the Automotive Industry Development Centre will anchor the hub by providing technical training, accreditation, business support and links to industry opportunities:
