# The City of Cape Town is set to receive its first electric bus in August as part of plans to introduce a greener public transport fleet. The 30 low-floor electric buses will be delivered in phases and will operate on MyCiTi routes in the metro-southeast and other areas. Mayoral committee for urban mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas says a joint research project will test performance, battery life, and operational requirements over the next 12-months:
