Chissano warns liberation movements lost people-centred focus [SOUND]

# Former Mozambican president, Joaquim Chissano, says Africa’s liberation movements have drifted from their core mission to serve the people. Speaking at the ANC Liberation Movements Summit in Johannesburg, Chissano reflected on past mistakes, including weakened democratic institutions, growing detachment from citizens, and the silencing of dissent.
