# Childline South Africa has expressed concern over rising cases of minors falling pregnant. The Eastern Cape government revealed that between April and July, more than 100 children aged ten to 14, and nearly five-thousand teenagers, have given birth. Police have opened cases against adults accused of impregnating minors. National Childline executive officer Dumisile Cele says the numbers are alarming, urging professionals and communities to report such cases as the crisis persists.
