CDC calls for vaccines to be made in Africa amid DRC-Uganda Ebola outbreak [SOUND]

# The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention says the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda points to the need for local vaccine and medicine manufacturing capacity. The World Health Organisation has declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern after 88 deaths and over 300 suspected cases have been reported. CDC director general Jean Kaseya says the need for vaccines is an equity issue:
