Capetonians willing to pay more to flush their toilets with seawater

# Capetonians are willing to pay up to ten-percent more on their water bills to use seawater to flush their toilets, as long as it doesn’t smell or stain them. This is according to a study by the University of Cape Town. Researchers say seawater flushing has its drawbacks, as it would require a duplicate network to be set up, with one network of water pipes for the drinking water supply and another for the toilet flushing water supply.
