# The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Coordinating Team says staff have been deployed across the metro to respond to any incidents linked to the threat of xenophobic violence during today’s planned anti-illegal immigration protests. Spokesperson Charlotte Powell says there are unconfirmed reports of two planned marches in the CBD, but no applications were received. She says they are also aware of incidents where individuals have apparently threatened businesses that employ foreigners:
