# Cosatu says whilst it welcomes important progressive allocations in the national budget, concerns remain that it may not provide the stimulatory effect the economy desperately needs. Finance minister Enoch Godongwana presented a less controversial budget on Wednesday. Cosatu’s Matthew Parks says they appreciate the scrapping of the value-added tax hike, but remain deeply distressed that for two years in a row, personal income tax brackets have not been adjusted for inflation:
