Black legal practitioners raise transformation concerns in state work allocation

# Black legal practitioners are criticising the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development for maintaining barriers to transformation despite reported improvements in briefing targets. The Black Conveyancers Association’s Pumla Mncwango says work distribution in state conveyancing remains unequal, with many instructions routed through the State Attorney. She argues this limits opportunities for black practitioners. The group says real transformation in the legal sector is still lacking more than 30 years into democracy.
