Biden urges Americans to stay optimistic and not to check out under Trump’s presidency [SOUND]

# Former US president Joe Biden has urged Americans to stay optimistic about what he calls the dark days under Donald Trump’s hardline presidency. The 82-year-old was speaking in Boston after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Edward M. Kennedy Institute. He was speaking publicly for the first time since completing a round of radiation therapy for an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Biden says America depends on a presidency with limited power, a functioning Congress and an autonomous judiciary:
