# Bakwena N1-N4 has announced upcoming rehabilitation and maintenance projects along its route, reinforcing road safety and efficiency. Current works include a 1.33-billion-rand N4 expansion in Rustenburg. New projects include a 276-million-rand upgrade on the N1 from Proefplaas to Pumulani, starting in October, and a 324-million-rand rehabilitation of the N4 from Zeerust to the Botswana border, beginning in January 2026. In 2024, Bakwena invested 300-million-rand in upgrades.
