Auditor-General says the ability of the state to manage infrastructure projects is weak [SOUND]

# Auditor-General Tsakani Maluleke has warned that weak planning, poor procurement and lack of accountability are crippling infrastructure delivery, with water losses exposing failing systems. The 2024-2025 consolidated general report on the national and provincial audit outcomes revealed that of 152 infrastructure projects that were audited, 109 experienced delays. The projects have a combined estimated cost of 47.39-billion-rand.
