# The African Transformation Movement’s Member of Parliament Vuyo Zungula is demanding answers from the Small Business Development minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams over allegations that foreign nationals use landlords’ identity documents without consent to register spaza shops. Zungula also questioned delays in disbursing the Spaza Shop Support Fund and called for a centralised licensing system. The department says it will consult the South African Revenue Service, municipalities and provincial authorities to improve data sharing and address suspected fraud, while developing an online platform to support business registration and compliance.
