Association calls for action amid impending gas supply cliff

# Industrial Gas Users Association-South Africa has called for the development of alternative liquified natural gas infrastructure as South Africa is already stepping towards a gas shortage. The association’s CEO Jaco Human warns industrial users could face declining supplies from Mozambique later this decade. More than 300 industrial users in Gauteng and Mpumalanga face a potential supply deficit as Sasol phases out third-party gas supplies. He calls for urgent coordination between government and business, faster infrastructure development and regulatory reform to secure future gas supplies.
