# Applications for Phase five of the Basic Education Employment Initiative have officially opened. Young South Africans aged 18 to 34 are urged to apply via the sayouth.mobi portal for over 204-thousand positions nationwide. Participants will serve as education and general assistants in schools. The programme, supported by the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative, aims to equip youth with essential skills. Successful applicants will start work on 1 June until 30 November.
