# The ANC Young Women’s Desk has condemned the pandemic of gender based violence and femicide in all its manifestations. The ANC’s Nkanyezi Thabethe referred to the recent death of two grade 12 learners Sinothando Malinga and Ibanathi Peter in the Eastern Cape. She says the two girls met their demise after an innocent venture into recreational activities, which subsequently led to their violent killing and their bodies set alight:
