# The ANC has welcomed the changes president Cyril Ramaphosa has made to his cabinet, saying the appointment of ministers and deputy ministers is a constitutional prerogative of the president. Ramaphosa largely implemented changes requested by the DA. These will affect the ministries of Agriculture; Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment; Trade, Industry, and Competition; Electricity and Energy; Higher Education; and Water and Sanitation. The ANC says it welcomes the appointment of Dina Pule as minister of Social Development and is confident that she will discharge her duties well.
