# ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says the party is united and focused on fixing local government ahead of upcoming municipal elections. Speaking after the National Executive Committee meeting, Mbalula said the party had adopted plans to improve struggling municipalities, accelerate infrastructure delivery and address water shortages. He says the ANC is also intensifying efforts to implement its ten-point economic plan including job creation, economic growth and easing the cost of living:
