An appeals court reinstates Trump’s global tariffs for now [SOUND]

# A US federal appeals court has granted a request by president Donald Trump’s administration to temporarily pause the ruling of the Court of International Trade. On Wednesday, the court ruled that Trump did not have the authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose sweeping global tariffs. The appeals court decision allows the tariffs to be used for now while the case is litigated. White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, says Trump did not overstep his power by imposing the tariffs:
