AI cancer treatment platform launched at Bloemfontein hospital

# The Universitas Academic Hospital in Bloemfontein, Free State, has become the first site outside the US to adopt the Radiation Planning Assistant. This is a web-based artificial intelligence platform developed at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre. The system, used for planning radiotherapy treatment, enhances speed and accuracy. With the University of the Free State leading the rollout, nearly 50 patients have already benefitted. Expansion is planned to other centres across South Africa.
