# AfriForum Youth has been praised for repairing a dangerous pothole at the corner of Lynwood and Brooklyn Road in Pretoria East, using about 3.5 tons of tar. The initiative, carried out with a local neighbourhood team, addressed a long-standing road hazard that had posed risks to motorists and pedestrians. The group’s Yvonne Gerber says the project forms part of its efforts to support communities and improve infrastructure where municipal services have been lacking.
