# AfriForum has welcomed the Tshwane Metro’s crediting of the city cleansing levy, following a High Court ruling declaring it unlawful and invalid. AfriForum’s Arno Roodt says residents’ accounts are being credited, saving over 58-million-rand citywide. Roodt warns the metro that any appeal would waste taxpayers’ money and vows to challenge it. He hails the ruling as a victory for residents:
