# ActionSA’s mayoral candidate for Ekurhuleni, Xolani Khumalo, says his years as a community activist have taught him the realities of combating crime on the ground. He was officially sworn in as a councillor in the metro on Monday, a move the party says will give him much-needed governance experience ahead of the local government elections. Khumalo, who is known as the host of the anti-drug television show Sizok’thola, says he is not in the business of winning the hearts of criminals:
