ActionSA wants Parliament to legally oppose Ramaphosa’s urgent interdict

# ActionSA has urged National Assembly speaker, Thoko Didiza, and the Parliament’s Impeachment Committee chairperson, Makashule Gana, to legally oppose president Cyril Ramaphosa’s urgent application to interdict the committee from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities. The president is seeking to halt the work of the committee until the court has reviewed Parliament’s Section 89 report. ActionSA says Ramaphosa’s claim of urgency is entirely self-created because if he genuinely believed that the independent panel report was unlawful or procedurally defective, he has had years to challenge it.
