ActionSA promises free weekday MyCiTi rides for Capetonians

# ActionSA has promised free weekday MyCiTi bus trips for Cape Town residents if elected in the 4 November local government elections. The party proposes a tourist levy of about 100-rand per night on short-term accommodation to help fund the service. It also plans to introduce a MyCape Card to link MyCiTi, trains and minibus taxis. ActionSA’s Cape Town mayoral candidate Dereleen James says the plan is aimed at reducing transport costs for residents.
