ActionSA condemns eThekwini appeal over sewage crisis

# ActionSA has condemned eThekwini Municipality’s decision to appeal a Pietermaritzburg High Court judgment ordering it to meet its constitutional obligation to provide residents with clean and safe water. ActionSA eThekwini mayoral candidate Zwakele Mncwango says the municipality is wasting residents’ money defending its failures instead of fixing collapsing sewage infrastructure. Mncwango says communities continue to face overflowing sewage, polluted rivers and contaminated beaches. He says the party will continue holding municipalities accountable for protecting residents’ constitutional rights.
