# Action Society is disappointed that judgment in the #BlueLightMafia case has been postponed to 6 November after the Randburg Magistrate’s Court magistrate fell ill. Deputy president Paul Mashatile’s eight VIP protection officers, accused of brutally assaulting civilians on the N1 Johannesburg highway in 2023, had applied to be released under Section 174, arguing the state has no case against them. Action Society’s Juanita du Preez says the accused are using delaying tactics to evade accountability:
