# Acting Police minister, Firoz Cachalia, has praised law enforcement agencies for maintaining peace and public order during nationwide protests against undocumented foreign nationals on Tuesday. The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration provided an update on the demonstrations and the government’s comprehensive management of migration in Pretoria yesterday evening. Cachalia says at least 361 undocumented immigrants were arrested, eleven for looting or attempted looting, four for drug-related offences, and 291 for common law crimes:
