Cabinet has approved South Africa’s pledge of approximately 95-million-rand, to support a continental response plan following the Ebola outbreak in parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. The minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, told the media the funds will contribute to preparedness and response efforts across Africa. Ntshavheni also reassured the public that there is no Ebola risk in South Africa:
