WHO says travel bans are hindering the Ebola response in the DRC and Uganda

# The World Health Organisation says its ability to respond effectively to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda is being hindered by blanket travel restrictions. The US, Bahrain, Mexico, and other countries have imposed travel restrictions, while Canada is enforcing a 21-day quarantine for all travellers arriving from the DRC. Over 300 confirmed Ebola cases and over 60 deaths have been recorded. WHO director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has highlighted high levels of community mistrust and low levels of contact tracing as major concerns.
