# Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture has raised concerns over the Mzansi Golden Economy adjudication process. Committee chairperson Joe McGluwa questioned the appointment of the adjudication panel, and warned they may reject the 2026 grant funding allocations. Companies in the arts, culture, heritage and tourism industries benefit from the fund. Members criticised a lack of transparency and alleged weaknesses in due diligence. The committee urges a reviewed adjudication process and for no payments be made until compliance checks are completed.
