# Iran has halted peace talks with the US due to the widening Israeli assault on Lebanon. This comes amid a broadening wave of Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon after prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military would deepen its offensive against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. According to Iranian state media, Tehran will move to completely block limited access to the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts. At least three-thousand-433 people have been killed and ten-thousand-395 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2nd.
