COSATU supports SACCAWU in its fight against Pick n Pay [SOUND]

# Union federation Cosatu says it supports the South African Commercial Catering and Allied Workers Union’s pushback to Pick n Pay’s planned retrenchment. The retailer issued Section 189 notices last week, a move it described as the next step in a multi-year financial turnaround that has already seen the closure of many loss-making stores. However, it has denied that it plans to retrench 22-thousand store workers. Cosatu’s Zanele Sabela says SACCAWU has accused Pick n Pay of bypassing labour processes:
