Meanwhile, five-time winners, the Chennai Super Kings, defeated Lucknow by five wickets, as they remain rooted to the bottom of the ten-team standings. Bangalore have climbed to the top of the standings with 14 points, while Chennai are fifth with 12 points. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs.
