# The University of Cape Town has launched a new specialist liver centre aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease in South Africa. The centre brings together experts in surgery, hepatology, oncology and radiology across hospitals in Cape Town and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. UCT clinician Dale Creamer says the centre will allow faster diagnosis, better treatment planning, and improved patient outcomes, including access to advanced procedures like liver transplants.
