The proposed law, to be introduced ahead of Workers’ Day, seeks to promote fair and transparent pay practices, particularly for young people and historically disadvantaged groups. BOSA’s Roger Solomons says the bill seeks to change the Employment Equity Act to promote fair wages and prevent employers from using past salaries to decide new pay.
