# The South African Communist Party says it has been blindsided by the ANC. This comes as dual members of the ANC and SACP will be given ten days from Thursday to indicate who they will campaign for in the upcoming local government elections. The move comes as the SACP prepares to contest the elections independently. SACP national spokesperson Mbulelo Mandlana told the SABC that this decision by the ANC was not discussed in the recent bilateral meeting:
