The South African Weather Service is predicting persistent heavy rain, localised flooding, and the possibility of severe thunderstorms for parts of the province. JMPD’s spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, says heavy rainfall has historically caused rapid flooding along several major routes, and therefore motorists should stay alert or seek alternative routes:
