# South African health experts say peripheral neuropathy, a condition caused by nerve damage, affects so many people, yet many are unaware of the early warning signs. In South Africa, peripheral neuropathy is commonly found in people living with diabetes, but also in those affected by ageing, nutritional deficiencies, injury and HIV.
