Eastern Cape records 17 Easter road deaths, over 200 drunk drivers arrests [SOUND]

# The Eastern Cape Department of Transport says 17 people have died on the province’s roads this Easter weekend, with over 200 motorists arrested for drunk driving. Spokesperson Unathi Binqose says ongoing operations continue to net offenders. While commending officers, Binqose warned the persistence of reckless behavior, human error, negligence, and dangerous driving habits are responsible for road fatalities. He calls on all motorists to act responsibly and prioritise road safety:
